Purdue Hammers Central Michigan, Wins Fifth Straight

Topics: College BasketballWest Lafayette, IN (AHN) - E'Twaun Moore poured in 15 points, as the Purdue Boilermakers defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas 64-38 Saturday. The victory gave Purdue its fifth-straight win, and continued its dominance in the Big Ten.

Central Michigan's offense was squelched during the first half and scored its 14th point when Robbie Harman hit a 3-pointer in the last 6:06.
Purdue was sluggish as well, shooting 40.9 percent from the field during the first half. But the Chippewas (2-4) did not help themselves shooting only 28.3 percent from the field.
Purdue (5-0) took a 49-24 lead with 8:18 left in the game. Purdue's Keaton Grant and Patrick Bade followed with a pair of free throws.
The Boilermakers were 19-for-20 from the line, shooting 95 percent. Central Michigan's Marko Spica added two free throws, and Amir Rashid collected two points to make it 39-24 Purdue.
Moore made it 41-21 for Purdue, who used a 10-0 run and Central Michigan could not cut the deficit for the rest of the game.
Finis Craddock led Central Michigan with eight points. Robbie Hummel had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Purdue.
