Atlanta, GA (AHN) - Johan Hedberg recorded his first shutout of the season by thwarting 34 shots in the Atlanta Thrashers' 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers Saturday at Philips Arena.

It was the 12th career shutout for Hedberg and his first since shutting down Carolina in Nov. 16, 2007.

Rich Peverley accounted for the lone goal of the Thrashers, who finally ended an overall 14-game losing streak against Philadelphia.

It also marked the first time the Thrashers dominated home ice against the Flyers since Dec. 21, 2003.

Losing netminder Brian Boucher finished with 17 saves for the Flyers, who have succumbed in five of their last six games.
