Liverpool Tops Everton By Pair In Premier League Tilt

Joseph Yobo took credit for an own goal at the 12 minute mark, and Dirk Kuyt added a tally at 80 minutes in powering Liverpool to a 2-0 shutout of Everton Sunday in a Premier League tilt at Goodison Park.

Everton had a shots advantage at 16-11 and also put one more on goal than its foe at 6-5.

Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina was up to the task in collecting all six saves.

Tim Howard had four stops for Everton.

Liverpool also enjoyed a slight advantage in time of possession at 55 percent to 45 percent for Everton.
