Tracy Smith Pours In 20 Points, NC State Overpowers New Orleans

Raleigh, NC (AHN) - Tracy Smith scored 20 points and eight rebounds as North Carolina State beat up on New Orleans 69-52 Sunday.

C.J. Williams contributed 12 as the undefeated North Carolina State Wolfpack were leading by double digits within the first five minutes of the match.

Up 34-24 at the half, North Carolina State began the second half with an 11-0 spurt that ultimately put away New Orleans (3-2).

New Orleans shot a lowly 35 percent.

Charles Carmouche was New Orleans leading scorer with 16 points.

With 9:44 left to play, the Wolfpack were up by 18 and New Orleans could not climb such a steep hump.

The 5-0 North Carolina State Wolfpack will face Northwestern Tuesday.

New Orleans will prepare for a match with Tulane Wednesday.
