"Michael Jackson's This Is It" Hits Blu-ray And DVD In January

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - "Michael Jackson's This Is It," released late October, is now the highest-grossing concert film worldwide. Sony announced that it's bringing the final performance footage of the late superstar Michael Jackson to Blu-ray and DVD in January.

Originally slated to be released in time for Christmas, "Michael Jackson's This Is It" will now arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on January 26, 2010, less than three months after it debuted in theaters. The documentary, composed of rehearsal footage from Jackson preparing for his sold-out string of concerts at London's O2 Arena, featured Jackson performing his hits for the last time, including "Thriller," "Human Nature," and "Billie Jean."

The Blu-ray and DVD are set to include two making-of documentaries and eight featurettes. The Blu-ray will also include exclusive special features, including the all-new "Smooth Criminal" vignette, as well as an exclusive making-of. The new "Thriller" vignette will also be included.

Also exclusive to the Blu-ray release are BD-Live special features, which include movieIQ and a "This Is It" interactive playlist.
