Topics: TennisIndianapolis, IN (AHN) - The Indianapolis Tennis Championship could be on it's way out of Indy. The longtime men's tournament has lost sponsorships, TV deals, spectators and is struggling to survive.

The tournament has been in Indianapolis nearly a century and it's part of the U.S. Open Series.
There was a time when the top players played the event and the tournament dew nearly a 100,000 fans.
However the tournament and American tennis has loss it's luster since the days of John McEnroe, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi dominating the sport.
It was voted Tournament of the Year a record 11 times.
Andy Roddick has continued to play the tournament and when he pulled out of this year's event in July, the attendance was around 40,000 fans.
The nonprofit group running the event is expected to sell the rights to the tournament.
"We've had no offers from anyone in Indianapolis to buy it," tournament Director Kevin Martin said. "So I anticipate it will be moving."
There isn't any word on where the tournament will move to.
It's schedule to start July 19.
