The album was available for less than two full days when sales were tracked for this week's chart. The album is also the first ever album to hit #1 on the Billboard albums chart on digital sales alone.

Coldplay's "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" is the only other digital album to have sold more copies in one week. It's also the third charity album to hit #1 on the Billboard charts, following 1985's "We Are the World" and 2001's "God Bless America," following the September 11th attacks. The biggest selling track from the album is Justin Timberlake's cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," which is currently #1 on iTunes.
Susan Boyle spends another week at #2 with "I Dreamed a Dream," selling 86,000 copies this week. Following at #3 is Lady Gaga with "The Fame," which sells 62,000 of the combined deluxe version. Rockers Spoon earn their second top 10 debut this week with "Transference" selling 53,000 copies.
The "2010 Grammy Nominees" compilation, which includes music from Kings of Leon, Kelly Clarkson, and U2, lands at #5 and moves 49,000 copies in its first week. It's also the ninth "Grammy Nominees" album to make the top 10 on Billboard. Last week's #1, "Contra" from Vampire Weekend, moves down to #6, selling 43,000 copies.
Alicia Keys is at #7 this week with "The Element of Freedom," moving 40,000 copies this week. Ke$ha drops down from #3 last week to #8 with "Animal," selling 38,000 copies. Her "Tik Tok" remains the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.
Closing out the top 10 are two chart staples The Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift. The Peas move up to #9 from #10 last week, moving 35,000 copies of "The E.N.D." Taylor Swift's "Fearless" spends its 54th week in the top 10, selling 32,000 copies for #10.
