New Delhi, India (AHN) - Hungary is keen to enter into a civil nuclear deal with India and collaborate in the field of nuclear energy; bio-fuels; and non-conventional energy including wind energy; and also in fossil fuel exploration.

India supported the cooperation in bio-fuels provided there is no diversion of food grains for the purpose.

Hungary had earlier supported India in the run up to the Indo- U.S. nuclear deal and had also supported its cause in the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Hungary's prime minister Gordon Bajnai and India's minister of commerce and industry Anand Sharma discussed this and many other issues in a bilateral meeting on Wednesday evening.

The two countries also signed an agreement on social security that will allow Indian IT professionals and other professionals undertaking short term employment in Hungary to make contributions to the country's social security net.

As per the new agreement, when they leave the country they will be refunded the money. Earlier, Indian short term employment professionals could not get their money back after they finished their work in Hungary.

Apart from these, both sides also discussed cooperation in the area of auto components manufacturing.

Sharma and Bajnai also agreed to establish a network of Science and Technology by utilizing the "Strategic Fund," a corpus of 2 million euros established for the purpose of cooperation and joint ventures in Science and Technology between the countries.
