Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vowed to cut red tape to get help for storm victims and facilitate cleanup for areas blanketed by mudslides over the weekend.

Schwarzenegger toured the the La Cañada Flintridge area on Sunday. The mayor there called on the federal government to pitch in and help too because the debris in that area came from a nearby national forest.

Three counties were suffered damage from mudslides and need help in clearing debris from yards, homes, streets and catch basins, according to reports.

Mud flows into people's yards and homes on Saturday damaged 43 homes.

More rain is forecast for the area on Tuesday.
