United States (AHN) - The LPGA announced the addition of a 54-hole event in South Korea, slated for Oct. 29-31.

The tournament will field 69 players, with slots for 50 of the LPGA Tour's top players, according to a press release Tuesday. The purse is estimated at $1.8 million.

It will also mark the last stretch of the LPGA season with the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year, Rolex Player of the Year and Vare Trophy titles.

The event came on the heels of the LPGA adding the Sybase Match Play Championship to its 2010 Tour schedule in January.

The confirmed event will give the LPGA three weeks in Asia. There will be a possible IMG-run event scheduled in China starting in October, providing that a title sponsor could be found.

The Mizuno Classic in Japan will follow in November.
