Piscataway, N.J., United States (AHN) - Rutgers head women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer was suspended for one game for a reported violation of athletic department policy, the school announced Tuesday.

The one-game ban was a result of a violation of NCAA bylaw 14.1.11, which deals with the eligibility of male practice players.

Although it still not certain what part of the bylaw was violated, Stringer will have to miss Wednesday's game against Seton Hall.

Tabbed to lead the Scarlet Knights (13-10, 5-4 Big East) against the visiting Pirates (9-14) will be associate head coach Carlene Mitchell.
