Doral, FL, United States (AHN) - A man covered in blood walked into the Miami-Dade Police Department headquarters and made a startling confession. He told authorities he just stabbed a woman.

Officers rushed to the address the man gave and they found the injured woman. She has been deemed a neighbor of the man. Paramedics took the woman to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Officials haven't released the status of her condition or her name. They have however revealed that the man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

The white pickup truck he drove to the police station is still in the department's parking lot but is cordoned off by crime scene tape and is covered by a tent.
