Unemployment claims fall to near four-year lowInitial unemployment claims fell by 15,000 to 359,000 during the latest week, a level near the four-year low hit in January, the Labor Department reported Thursday. The number was better than economists' expectations for 370,000, down from the prior week's 373,000.

Home prices continue to fallHome prices in November continued their fall from the bubble-high prices of 2006, dropping by 1.3 percent compared to October, according to the latest S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city report.
