Joran van der Sloot sentenced to 28 years for Peru murderJoran van de Sloot was sentenced Friday to 28 years for the murder of a Peruvian woman. The 24-year-old Dutch national confessed Wednesday to the charges of "qualified murder" and simple robbery in the death of Stephany Flores in May 2010. He was the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba in 2005, but was never charged.
