Seven killed as Somaliland forces fire on demonstratorsAt least seven people were killed and seven others wounded after Somaliland forces opened fire on protesters in Las Anod, capital of the northern Somalia administrative region of Sool, witnesses said Saturday. Troops were sent to Las Anod after politicians in the region organized the so-called "Kahtumo 2 conference to discuss the political future of the disputed Sool region, which is claimed by both breakaway regions of Somaliland and Puntland.
