Book Review: Three Millennia of WarsGary L. Rashbas "Holy Wars, 3000 Years of Battles in the Holy Land" illuminates those major battles that shaped this part of the world for three millennia. Its a colossal task, and it would have easy, and even excusable, for Rashba to have gotten bogged down in meaningless, but famous battles. Or to have told a good story, but leave the reader clueless about the significance of the bloodletting. With so many battles to choose from, its hard to narrow them down to a select group. But Rashba gets credit for choosing the 17 most crucial conflicts that any historian will tell you are a must for study.
